See Shows page for October 2011 - new show announcement!

October 2011 - Drool Brothers are on the cover of the L.A. and national edition of Deli music blog. http://la.thedelimagazine.com/
Drool Brothers are bringing their sardonic, fuzzed out groove rock to Fenix 5-4 to celebrate their new EP, "Decoupage". The Whittier, CA band are known for their exciting but unique live shows at unique places. They like to cross pollinate artistic mediums with their art rock by playing museums and galleries, and try to include artists from different mediums on the bill. Given this, Fenix 5-4 is an upcoming eastside venue whose artistic yet circus atmosphere compliments the Drool Brothers frenetic colorful music. The Drool Brothers will have copies of their new EP on hand, which includes “Tube Tops and Go Go Boots” and a cover: a warped, fuzzed out version of Minnie Riperton’s “Lovin’ You.” Also available, colored vinyl giveaways and over 100 varieties of beer. Don't miss all the frenzy at Fenix 5-4 on Friday, October 28.

January 2011 - MONA's very First Friday of the New Year (2011) was banging! The Drool Brothers let loose on the neon lights singing their quirky tunes and jamming rock to a full house at the museum. Their songs mixed and mangled with our neon art sculptures so don't be surprised to find random neon images in this music session. Also, special thanks to the duo, Pop Soda, for opening the show!

2010 Review of Ajax Muffler in Deli L.A. magazine:
Ajax Muffler: A pinch of protopunk, a dash of jazz funk, baste with prog and bake for twelve songs. Voila! You have the Drool Brother’s third full-length Ajax Muffler.
The band wears their varied ’70s influences proudly on their sleeve, effortlessly shifting from the Zappaesque “Journey to the Center of the Mall” (try listening back-to-back with Zappa’s “Valley Girl” for a uniquely LA feeling) to the laid back groove of “Peace, Love, And Harmony.” Still need more reason to pick up this tasty treat? If the discordant bluesy solo on “Japanese Disco” doesn’t make your mouth water, nothing will. A gourmet meal when all you’ve snacked on is pop radio.
